In Q1 2022, the top five social networking applications in Europe showcased diverse performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is an analysis of their trends based on data from Sensor Tower.

VK: social network, messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads ranging from approximately 290K to 544K. The app saw a notable spike in the week of March 7, reaching 544K downloads. Revenue trends showed a gradual decline, starting from around $836K at the beginning of the quarter and reducing to approximately $636K by the end. Active users remained high, peaking at over 91M in mid-March.

Azar: Video Chat & Meet People experienced stable weekly revenue, fluctuating between $723K and $865K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads hovered between 128K and 157K, showing a slight downward trend. Active users also saw a decrease, from about 1.36M at the start to 1.22M by the end of March.

BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live had a mixed performance. Weekly revenue started at around $677K and decreased to about $593K. Downloads ranged from 133K to 213K, with the highest number recorded in the last week of December. Active users demonstrated a healthy upward trend, starting at 37.6M and reaching over 40.9M by the end of March.
